These Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure the safety, enjoyment, and wellbeing of our guests and horses. By making a booking, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Bookings

All bookings are subject to availability.

A booking is confirmed once payment or deposit has been received.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking where necessary for safety, welfare, or operational reasons.
2. Payment Terms

A non refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.

Booking details and payment instructions will be provided upon confirmation of your Trek.
-
Payments should be made by bank transfer unless otherwise agreed.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 2 days before the date of the Trek
-
Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in the booking being cancelled and the deposit forfeited.

Any bank charges incurred in making payment are the responsibility of the participant.
3. Rider Requirements

Riders must follow all instructions provided by the guide.

We reserve the right to decline participation if a rider's ability, behaviour, or physical condition could present a safety risk.

Riders must provide accurate information regarding their riding experience and their horse when requested.
-
Riders are responsible for assessing their own ability and their horse's suitability for Dartmoor terrain and conditions.

Horses must remain under the control of their rider at all times.

We reserve the right to refuse participation, alter routes, or end a ride if a rider or horse is considered unsuitable for safety or welfare reasons.
4. Health & Medical Information

Participants are responsible for informing us of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or disabilities that may affect their ability to take part safely.

Emergency contact details may be requested before the activity.
5. Safety & Equipment

Approved riding hats must be worn at all times while mounted.
-
Suitable clothing and footwear must be worn.
-
Riders must follow all safety instructions given during the experience.
6. Liability

Horse riding and outdoor activities involve inherent risks which cannot be completely eliminated.

By participating, riders acknowledge and accept these risks.

Riders remain responsible for their horse, tack, equipment, transport, and personal belongings at all times.

We accept no responsibility for loss, theft, damage, injury, illness, or accident arising from the actions of a participant's horse, except where liability cannot legally be excluded by law.

Participants are encouraged to have appropriate rider and equine insurance cover.
7. Personal Belongings

Personal belongings, tack, equipment, vehicles, horseboxes, and trailers are brought and left at the owner's risk.

We accept no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
8. Welfare

Horse welfare is our highest priority.

Owners must ensure their horse is healthy, and capable of undertaking the planned activity.

Owners are responsible for ensuring their horse has appropriate vaccinations and insurance.

Any medical conditions, injuries, behavioural concerns, or special requirements must be disclosed before participation.

We reserve the right to alter, shorten, postpone, or cancel any activity where horse welfare may be compromised.
9. Weather & Operational Changes

Activities may be modified, postponed, or cancelled due to adverse weather, ground conditions, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances.

Where possible, alternative arrangements will be offered.
10. Cancellations & Refunds

Deposits are non refundable.
-
No shows or cancellations within 48 hours of the activity are non refundable.

If we need to cancel due to severe weather, horse welfare concerns, safety reasons, or unforeseen circumstances, guests will be offered either:

An alternative date or A full refund of any monies paid.
11. Photography & Social Media

Photographs and videos may occasionally be taken for promotional purposes.

Guests will be asked for permission before identifiable images are used.
-
Professional photography services may be available separately.
12. Acceptance of Terms

By making a booking, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Participants confirm that the information provided about themselves and their horse is accurate.
-
Participants confirm that both rider and horse are suitable for the activity booked.
